Sophie Come Home!

As some of you know, this is my favorite giraffe ever- her name is Sophie. Mommy and Daddy gave her to me on Valentines Day. She is from France, laugh as you will, I am just telling you the truth. Well today Mommy and I went to St. Augustine with Miss Krissy & Miss Jerri. We were walking along and all of a sudden Mommy realized Sophie was gone. We went back and retraced everywhere we had been, but no luck. She is gone, I am sad. But not to worry, Mommy came home and has already ordered me a new one. This time she said she would be smarter and get her a "leash" also known as a pacifier holder. That way if I do decide to chuck her out of the stroller, she won't go far. Sophie has now moved to St. Augustine with another family and I will miss her greatly. The good news is we had a blast in St. Augustine and ate a delicious lunch at Columbia where I spent most of the time waving at everyone who walked by. Yes, sometimes I do believe that I am a celebrity. So off I go to wait patiently for my new Sophie.....

10 months and Mommy is sad....

Addison normally writes, but tonight it is Mommy. As I put my little peanut down to bed tonight, tears just welled up in my eyes. Where have the past 10 months gone? We are in full 1st birthday party planning mode and it just seems unreal. She is growing and changing everyday and I can hardly imagine this little tiny baby is getting so big- so fast. Yes, everyone warns you about how time flies, but you can't believe it till it happens to you. I made a special trip to Barnes & Noble today to pick up a journal. I wanted to do this for so long (since I got pregnant) and kept putting it off and here it is 10 months gone and no journal. I am making a promise to myself and Addison that I will keep up with it at least a few times a week..

I can save myself!

This had been a busy month! I have been going to Infant Swimming Resource and after just 4 weeks of lessons, I can save myself! I worked very hard going to Miss Janet's house every day, 5 days a week for 10 minutes each day. It was a lot of work for me and Mommy, but we got through it and now I know what to do if I fall in a pool or any kind of water. Besides that, I am pulling up and standing every chance I get. I even let go every once in a while so Mommy and Daddy are expecting me to take off walking anytime now. Just 2 more months till my 1st birthday- wow! This year has flown by! Enjoy the pictures and the video. Feel free to contact Mommy if you are interested in this program. We can't say enough amazing things about Miss Janet. She was kind, patient, and very knowledgable. I can't wait to go back for my refresher and swimming lessons next year!

This is Miss Janet and I on my last day. I had to get in the pool with clothes and a regular diaper on and see if I knew how to save myself and I did! See for yourself!
