2 weeks old
Today was Alyssa's 2 week appointment! She has reached 8lbs and is doing great. Her umbilical cord has been hanging on by a string for about 5 days now and keeping us from giving her a real bath. So today Dr. Roque took care of it. Neither of us looked, but he assured us she wouldn't feel a thing! Besides that, all is quiet in the Logsdon household... literally... this little girl is a Mom's dream- she sleeps A LOT! Took a picture of Alyssa to replicate a shot we took of Addison... no doubt they are sisters, they look SO much alike! We are really looking forward to our photography session with Amy Smith, a sorority sister of mine who does newborn and children photography. Her work is amazing and all I can hope is she makes us look as good as some of her other clients! :) Look for pictures coming soon....

REALLY???!!! 9 months ago!!!!
2 year old pictureObviously I will NEVER be one of those lucky women who stay home with their kids and make money blogging. It's been 9 months since I've updated- seriously it is just sad! What makes it even worse is that I spend hours, literally hours, on the computer every single night. Whether it is on Facebook or reading other people's blogs, I could really take the 15 minutes to update this one! So let's see.....As I look back on my last entry dated February 4th, I would have NEVER guessed that the URL we chose "thelogsdoncrew" would ever really mean a "crew". Crew to us always meant Lenore, Brian, Addison, Oliver, and of course Toni the bird. Little did we know that "Smudge" was already very much part of our "crew". Baby Logsdon #2 became affectionately named "Smudge" because at our first doctor's appointment at 7 weeks along, that is all he/she looked like. Needless to say the last 9 months have been a whirlwind! We all (family, friends, and us) adjusted to another baby. Addison celebrated her 2nd birthday, not sure how that happened so quickly but it did! She is talking up a storm, or maybe I should say repeating...EVERYTHING!!!! Good, bad, or indifferent! :) She doesn't quite understand the whole baby thing. When we ask her where the baby is, she lifts her shirt and says in her belly. Not quite, but I guess close enough. Tonight she was kissing Smudge and then pulled my shirt down over my belly and said "cover it". It was pretty funny... So many other things have transpired over the past 9 months, I can't even recall! So in a nutshell- LIFE IS GOOD!!!!! We are just sitting around waiting as tomorrow brings us to 39 weeks. Bags are packed, Addison's buddy Miss Krissy is all ready to come whenever she receives the "this is it" call. A cash pool is circulating and everyone is very anxious to know if we will be adding a 7th granddaughter to the Logsdon family or if we will break the trend and get that boy!!!! Seems as if there are a lot of people leaning towards boy, but they were with Addison too! Names you ask???? Well along with the sex, IT'S A SURPRISE!!!!!!! LOL... stay tuned!

A Weekend Without Mommy....
So, once again it has been a while since I have updated!! We are not getting any better at this! Anyways, Mommy took a weekend with her "birthday buddies", Stacey, Jacquie, & Jen to Savannah. Daddy stayed behind with me for a long weekend- Thursday night till Sunday. Oh what fun we had though... On Saturday, we headed to a chili cook off in Baldwin Park with Aunt Sandi, Uncle Craig, and Natalee. Then on Sunday we went to a Civil War reenactment in Mount Dora. Daddy LOVED this, I on the other hand could have done without out. I would have been just as content staying home cooking in my playroom and hanging out with my friends Elmo and Oliver. But, being the good daughter that I am, I went with Daddy, put a smile on my face, and acted as if I loved every minute of it!
What are you looking at? Can't a girl eat a snack??
Natalee: "What are you doing?"
Addison: "Trying to earn some beads."
Natalee: "You have nothing to show"
Now where are the Dad's while their daughters are doing this????!!!

Christmas Pictures- FINALLY!!!!
Well once again, I can say keeping up with a blog is NOT my strong point. Especially now that Addison has taken an interest in the computer. Actually let me rephrase that, she is infatuated with it!!!! So I have minimal time to use the computer if she is around. Anyway, here are some Christmas pictures- almost a month late, but hey, better late than never!!!
Things are great, Addison's personality is budding more and more every day. She is so chatty and using her sign language like crazy! We spent some time at Disney this afternoon and discovered some new things. Snow White and Peter Pan=scary for Addison! She held onto me so tight, I couldn't wait to get off! Tom Sawyer Island- a HUGE hit! She had a blast running around and going over the bridges. As usual, It's A Small World and the carousel were favorites. On our way our we bought her first stuffed Mickey Mouse. I think it was the best $10 we spent. She hugged him all the way to the car and fell fast asleep with him in her arms within minutes of getting in her car seat!
We are looking forward to our BBQ get together tomorrow with friends..12 adults and 8 kids!!!! I am sure there will be some exciting pictures to share! Also looking forward to Kobe on Tuesday night to celebrate my 35th (OUCH) Birthday. Not too thrilled to be turning 35, but it is a great excuse to go to Kobe and eat a TON of food! :)
